果味VC跟亚东结缘自2001年，张亚东是他们首张专辑《双重生命》的制作人。唱片推出旋即成为内地的一队几乎横扫乐评及各大音乐奖项的摇滚乐队。正当他们前途一片光明无限时，他们又意外宣布解散，主唱孙凌生毅然只身到英国伦敦深造。2005年凌生毕业回京，放不下音乐的他们又重组起来，推出《来自VC的礼物》，献给所有喜爱果味VC的乐迷。至2006年跟摩登天空约满后，张亚东便马上把果味VC签到其创办的音乐制作及唱片公司东乐，亲自操刀制作果味VC的第三张专辑。去年推出的《东乐园》中，也收录两首果味VC的全新单曲包括《夜空多灿烂》。张亚东欣赏果味VC的是他们对音乐准确的对焦直觉，充满幻觉和与生俱来的浪漫气质，他们除了写写唱唱，也一直延续着音乐中游戏之笔的妙趣，打造出不少美好的作品。
