It was dark in the jungle

A wolf found me

and took me home

Mother wolf licked me all over

They named me Mowgli

It meant naked frog

I grew up with my wolf brothers

I became friends

with a bear and jaguar too

I was a good swimmer

I was also a good jumper

the fearsome tiger came again

to catch me

a herd of buffalos

The buffalos stamped on the tiger

and he was finally killed

My jungle friends cheered for me

I felt happy again
