The Ant

The Grasshopper

It’s sizzling hot

Sweat floods all faces

our Busy Ant works hard

But our Lazy Grasshopper

rests under a shade

The Grasshopper calls out

from under the shade

But we have to prepare for winter

Black clouds come and rain falls

Nevertheless our Busy Ant and all his friends

continue working

The Lazy Grasshopper

runs toward a large mushroom

Winter is so far away

Why are they working so hard

The Lazy Grasshopper

decides to stay lazy

The Lazy Grasshopper

is still lazy

Nevertheless

our Busy Ant remains busy

Cool breezes bring autumn along

Ah I like autumn

to his Wise Master

across the stream

The Master tied a sack of salt

onto the Mule’s back

The Foolish Mule

The Foolish Mule was dragged along

The day was hot and sweaty

with something other than salt
