There lived in one town

a bad brother and a good brother

The bad brother

was very greedy

But the good brother

was very kind

The bad brother was rich

But the good brother was poor

One day

the good brother went up a hill

to collect some wood

All of a sudden

a walnut rolled down the hill

Wow This looks tasty

Then another little walnut

rolled down the hill

Soon it became dark

All the roads look the same

The night was dark and scary

The good brother walked

as fast as he could

in that house

The good brother spotted

an old cottage up on a hill

The good brother was hungry

He took out his walnut

He opened his mouth

to crack the walnut

he heard loud noises from outside

shoved the walnut in his mouth

Then he quickly hid in a closet

He peeped through a hole

in the closet

This house belongs to monsters

Gold Gimme some gold

One monster swung his club

and out came lots of gold

Another monster swung his club

and out came plenty of silver

More and more goods

fell from the club

The good brother was

so surprised and scared

And by mistake

the good brother bit his walnut

Run The house is falling

All the monsters heard

the cracking noise and ran away

The good brother

returned home

with one monster club

Gold Gimme gold

Silver Gimme silver

The good brother

soon became very rich

But the bad brother became

more greedy and bad

He wanted a monster club too

The bad brother went up the hill

to find one for himself

Soon a walnut

came rolling down

came rolling down

came rolling down

Another one They’re all mine

The bad brother hurried

to the old cottage on the hill

He went inside

and hid in the closet

Soon night came

and the monsters came home

The monsters shouted

for more and more goods

The bad brother

then bit his walnut

CRACK

But this time

the monsters did not run away

Instead

the monsters came after

the bad brother

who stole our monster club

pounded on the bad brother

again and again and again

The monsters

all night long

all the way home
