A mouse town was recently visited by a cat

Since then all of the mice haven’t had any peace

So the mice decided to quickly gather for a town meeting

to be rid of this cat

How about putting a bell around the cat’s neck

Said a young smart aleck mouse

That way we can hear the bell ringing

and know when the cat is coming

And we can escape

Wow That’s a great idea

As everyone praised her idea the smarty pants young mouse

felt so proud of herself

Just then an old wise mouse at the back of the room spoke up

I wonder who will bell the cat then

The mice started to panic and they all began to

look at each other

Who will bell the cat then

How about you bell the cat as you seem to be the one

with the great idea

Huh Me No no no I can’t

Even the greatest ideas are nothing

when they can’t be done

At that the smarty pants mouse quickly

turned bright red with shame
